with investigators Guelph Police Service looking for the accused online threat being done to a person.

In a news release, they say they are aware of a video that is being circulated on social media.

Investigators say the person who has been the target of these threats has sought help and is in contact with police.

No other details of the investigation are being released at this time.

Guelph police said that there have been individual protests focusing on the LGBTQ2 community across Ontario, but were not aware of such protests in the city.

They state that while they recognize freedom of speech and expression, threats, intimidation and harassment of a criminal nature is not permissible by law and will not be tolerated.
