The 30-second clip, released on January 13, features Rihanna slowly walking down a lit runway as audio snippets of people moaning about the long wait for new music plays in the background. “Man, Rihanna, we’ve been waiting for you,” a voice says, while another voice says, “Riri, where have you been?”
As the chorus of voices begin to overlap each other, the room suddenly goes dark and Rihanna is seen standing in the spotlight. Clad in a black catsuit and big yellow fur coat, the 34-year-old lifts a finger to her lips to muffle the sound – as her 2016 track “Needed Me” kicks in.
Is this Rihanna’s way of telling fans that the wait is over?
