After breaking records last month, the price of petrol in the US fell for 23 consecutive days since Thursday. But analysts say prices could rise again if demand from drivers picks up and supplies are disrupted.
The average price for a gallon of unleaded gas on Thursday was $4.75. It’s down about 5% since prices hit their highest point, $5.02, on June 14, according to data from OPIS, an energy-data and analytics provider.
