Eight front-line workers will serve as ceremonial Grand Marshals for the 125th running of the Boston Marathon on Monday. The Boston Athletic Association announced Saturday that front-line workers will be joined by five Boston Marathon champions as they run a full 26.2. Mile course in two Boston duck boats: Back Bay Bertha and Katie Copley. The eight Grand Marshals are Meg Femino of Beth Israel Lahey Health; Martha Kaniyaru of Spaulding Rehabilitation; Lauren Aiello of Boston Children’s Hospital; Eric Gorlnick of Brigham and Women’s Hospital; Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Christopher S. Lathan; Mark Mullins of Tufts Medical Center; Annie Lopes of Boston Medical Center; and Susan Wilcox of Massachusetts General Hospital. Joining the front-line workers are five Boston Marathon champions Meb Keflezighi, Sarah May Berman, Bill Rodgers, Joan Benoit Samuelson and Jack Fultz. Front-line workers selected to become Grand Marshals were nominated by the John Hancock Hospital of Non-Profit and BAA Charity Programs.
