‘Freedom Convoy’ Organizer Tamara Licht Will Find Out If She’ll Stay In Jail Globalnews.ca

OTTAWA – “Freedom Convoy” Organizer tamara lecho It is expected today to know whether she will remain in prison after the Crown accuses her of violating one of the bail conditions.

Licht was charged in February with mischief, obstructing police, counseling others on mischief, and threatening for his role in the mass protests that locked down the city of Ottawa for weeks.

He was released the following month with a long list of conditions, including not communicating with major convoy organizers through a lawyer or in the presence of a lawyer.

Licht was arrested last week after appearing in a recent photo with fellow protest leader Tom Marazzo, and the Crown argued at his bail hearing on Tuesday that he should remain in custody.

But his lawyer, Lawrence Greenspawn, argued that Licht and Marazzo only had a brief conversation and that his lawyer was just off-camera and approved the photo.

Justice of the Peace Paul Harris reserved his decision by this afternoon.
