Paris: France has called for the “immediate release” of seven French nationals detained in Iran, condemning the “unfair and unacceptable” conditions.
Foreign ministry spokeswoman Anne-Claire Legendre said the French “hostages” in Iran included 35-year-old Louis Arnaud.
Arnaud, whose name has yet to be made public, was arrested on 28 September as he was traveling in Iran “for tourism reasons”.
