KARACHI: At least four picnickers drowned while bathing in the sea at Karachi’s Clifton Beach, rescue officials confirmed on Thursday.
According to the information, the incident took place when people were taking a bath near Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park on Wednesday amid monsoon weather and bad water.
At least seven people were washed away in the strong waves. However, rescue officials managed to rescue three people in an unconscious state. After that he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Two of the deceased have been identified as Saifullah and Riyaz, while the other two are yet to be identified.
