Former top policeman arrested in phone tapping case

New Delhi: The ED on Tuesday arrested former Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey in connection with its probe under the PMLA in a case related to alleged phone tapping of NSE employees, officials confirmed. The ED took the retired officer into custody for the second time in as many days after more than seven hours of interrogation in the case. tns

New Delhi: The Health Ministry on Tuesday removed five doctors of Safdarjung Hospital from duty after a woman gave birth to a newborn outside the hospital. Poonam, a resident of Dadri, was referred to the hospital on Monday. The ministry has ordered a high-level inquiry into the lapse. tns
