Pilot Larry Wissowski said he would usually be given notice if Clinton or high-profile passengers like him took off.
He recalled that Itzhak Perlman, the famous violinist, had flown with Epstein to Michigan for the Interlochen Center for the Arts summer camp. She said she remembered Prince Andrew, Maine Sen. George Mitchell, Ohio Sen. John Glenn and actor Kevin Spacey on the flight.
“In 2002 and 2003, President Clinton made a total of four trips aboard Jeffrey Epstein’s airplane: one to Europe, one to Asia and two to Africa, with stops in connection with Clinton Foundation work,” Clinton spokeswoman Angel Ureena said. Said in 2019.
Maxwell, the British socialite and close confidant of Epstein, was arrested a year later and pleaded not guilty to six charges, including conspiracy and sex trafficking.
Pilot testifies that he never witnessed any sexual activity
He testified that Maxwell frequently traveled on Epstein’s private jet between 1994 and 2004 and often facilitated travel plans for Epstein with Wissowski. Maxwell was Epstein’s “number two” and his “go-to person to handle everything that wasn’t business-related,” Pilot testified.
He described his memory of the pair’s relationship as more personal than business, but more “couple-ish” than actually romantic. He didn’t remember them kissing or holding hands, he said.
It was not a priority to enter the names of all passengers on Epstein’s private flights, but he did his best to be accurate, Wisowski said. For international flights, they had to report an accurate passenger log, he said. If he did not know the name of a passenger, he would have noted down the passenger on the basis of their gender, he said.
On Tuesday, Wissowski testified about her memories of Minor Victim-1, who said, as prosecutors allege, that she met Epstein and Maxwell at the prestigious arts camp, where Epstein had been a donor for years.
Wissowski testified that Epstein had introduced him to “Jane” on his plane before taking off from Palm Beach in the 1990s.
Wisowski said she remembered that she appeared as a “mature woman” with “piercing powder blue eyes” at the time. However, she testified at cross-examination that she could not be sure whether or who she actually flew on the flight, and Maxwell’s defense questioned whether “Jane” had ever flown on Epstein’s planes.
“I can’t imagine him sitting in the passenger compartment as I would say to President Clinton, it was that long ago,” he said.
His real first name was inscribed on flight logs for three flights, but Wysowski admitted on cross examination that Epstein had an assistant with the same first name and, without logging the last name, he could not be sure it was. Who was it.
When asked about cross-examination, Wissowski said he did not know the age of the passengers he flew, but that he never thought there were underage girls as far as he could tell. .
“I’ve never seen any sexual activity, no,” Wisowski testified. Asked if he had seen sex with underage girls, he said, “Not at all.”
Wissowski testified that he never saw sex toys, used condoms or clothing strewn on Epstein’s planes, and that there was no sign of sexual activity on the planes.
The cockpit door would be locked during the flight, but Epstein would occasionally introduce his guests to Wissowski before takeoff, he testified. Wysowski also invited pilots to pass freely through cabins to use the restrooms or get coffee during flights, Wysowski said. He also said that he had not been instructed by anyone on how he should interact with passengers or other staff members.
He said he keeps passenger declarations and flight logs for every flight and leaves the records in Epstein’s office without keeping copies for himself.
He would give records to an assistant but usually not to Maxwell.
“Ms Maxwell had nothing to do with the passenger manifesto,” he said.
In addition, Wissowski testified that Epstein paid for his two daughters’ education through college and gifted them acreage on a New Mexico farm where Wissowski built himself a home. Pilot noted that it was Epstein’s custom to pay for the schooling of the children of all his employees because he valued higher education. He also admitted to signing a non-disclosure agreement as a part of his employment.
