A fog advisory was issued for parts of central and northern Alberta on Tuesday morning, with the RCMP warning that the weather was creating dangerous driving conditions.

“Dense fog is causing zero visibility in some areas,” Environment Canada said on its website Tuesday. “These patches of fog will clear all day today.”

“Travel is expected to be hazardous due to low visibility at some places.”

Shortly after 10:30 a.m., the weather agency issued a fog advisory for Edmonton and the surrounding area.
