Florida Rep. Steube out of hospital after accident at home

a US Congressman from Florida who was seriously injured in a tree felling incident sarasota He said he was discharged from the hospital on Saturday and is recuperating at home.

Rep. Greg Steube said in an evening tweet that he was “infinitely blessed by the prayers and support from our friends, family and community.”

He said his office “will provide an update next week on how my recovery will affect my return.” washington,

A tweet posted on the Congressman’s official profile on Thursday said that Steube “fell approximately 25 feet from a ladder while chopping tree limbs on his Sarasota property” the previous day.

In a separate tweet it was then said that he had spent the night in ICU after suffering multiple injuries which were serious but not life-threatening. The account said a man saw the fall and called 911.

Stubbe thanked the staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital for the “excellent care” on Saturday.

Stubbe, A republican, was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and has just begun his third term. He represents Sarasota and Charlotte counties and part of Lee County.
