The Faridabad Police has arrested a 16-year-old girl and her 18-year-old boyfriend for the murder of her mother, who was opposing their relationship.
Police said the girl allegedly committed the crime while her boyfriend “gave her instructions” over a video call.
According to the police, the incident took place on the intervening night of July 10 and 11. The FIR was registered based on the complaint of the victim’s son, who works in a food delivery company and was at home at that time.
On July 10, the 18-year-old allegedly went to the girl’s house and dropped some sleeping pills, police said. Police said that he allegedly mixed these in a glass of lemonade and gave it to his mother.
“Both were produced in the court. Faridabad Police PRO Sube Singh said that the 18-year-old girl has been sent to Faridabad Jail, while the girl has been sent to a juvenile home.
