MAKKAH: Home to major heritage sites and mesmerizing desert sites, Jubba “wonders” tourists with its ancient artefacts, tour guides told Arab News.

Located 90 km north of Hale city, the old city is visited by local and international tourists throughout the year.

The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage renovated and developed the site, which was unanimously registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2015.

Tourism expert Nasser Al-Thuaini spoke to Arab News about Jubbah’s tourism potential.

“Jubba is a world tourist destination, given that a large number of multinational tourists visit it daily to view its carvings, heritage and museums while enjoying its vibrancy, nature and the good spirit of its people,” he said.

“Tourists are always amazed and impressed by the diversity of its rich terrain, engravings and the generosity of its people, which encourages them to pay another visit. They are usually amazed by its carvings and its historical depth.
