Eknath Shinde refutes claims of being unhappy in MVA government

a day later BJP Leader and Union Minister Narayan Rane claimed that Shiv Sena Minister Eknath Shinde is unhappy, with Shinde on Sunday refuting the allegation that Rane was trying to create confusion in the Maharashtra government, calling it “baseless”.

“I have complete freedom to take decisions for my department and I have taken decisions like Integrated Development Control and Promotion Rules (DCPR) and Mumbai-Nagpur Samridhi Corridor. It is completely wrong to say that Matoshree or CM is interfering in my department. Hence, Rane’s statement is baseless,” Shinde said on Sunday.

“So, the purpose of his statement is to create confusion. Since the formation of the MVA government, the opposition party (BJP) has tried several times to create such confusion within the MVA,” he said.

The Shiv Sena minister further said that Rane has served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra during the Shiv Sena-BJP government (1995-99) and knows that any important or policy decision of any department is being taken with the consent of the CM. And there is nothing wrong with that. He said that as a Union minister, if Rane has to take any important or policy decision, then he will have to take the consent of the Prime Minister.

Rane, during the Jan Ashirwad Travel In Vasai-Virar on Saturday, Shinde had claimed that he was unhappy with the Shiv Sena. “Shinde, the urban development minister, only signs the files, but he cannot sign any file without the approval of Matoshree. So, he is bored and in trouble there. Someday, I will call them to show the way,” Rane said while talking to media persons.

When asked whether Shinde would be taken to the BJP, Rane said, “If he approaches us, we will take him to the BJP.”

Rane, a staunch rival of Shiv Sena, has started his journey in Mumbai on August 19 and will travel to Raigad and parts of Ratnagiri at Vasai-Virar and end in Sindhudurg on August 26. The yatra is an outreach program of the BJP to take on the Sangh. Government’s development work to the public
