Eight feet long python rescued from premises in front of Uddhav Thackeray’s residence

An eight-feet-long python was rescued from a compound in front of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s residence in Mumbai’s Kalanagar on Monday.

Snake catcher Atul Kamble said, ‘I went to the spot after security guard Ramesh Patil called early in the morning. The rescued dragon is a female. Since this is the mating season for pythons, and there is a nap in the air at night, the snake may have come to the spot to lay eggs or look for food. The operation required three snake catchers as the python was stuck in a congested area.

The python was in perfectly healthy condition. Kamble said it was examined by the Thane Regional Center’s medical unit and then released into the forest at Ghodbunder in Thane.
