CAIRO: Egypt has condemned the Israeli government’s decision to “legalize” settlement outposts in the occupied Palestinian territories and build new settlement units.
A statement issued by Egypt’s foreign ministry comes after the Israeli cabinet announced on Sunday the legalization of nine settlements in the occupied West Bank.
The ministry said Israel’s decision was a gross violation of UN Security Council resolutions and relevant rules of international law.
