DUBAI: A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck southern Iran on Wednesday and was felt in the United Arab Emirates, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) said.
Iranian state TV reported that rescue teams were dispatched to the quake-hit area and said there were no casualties.
The quake occurred at a depth of 10 km (6 miles) and about 88 km northwest of the city of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates, the EMSC said.
