Eagles’ Miles Sanders channels ‘Waterboy’ to Adam Sandler’s delight

philadelphia eagles Running back Miles Sanders was up on the mic against the New York Giants on Sunday, and he was saying how he wanted to channel his inner Bobby Boucher against their division rival. Boucher, of course, is the fictional football player portrayed by Adam Sandler in his hit movie “Waterboy.”

Sanders did just that in a row 48-22 win over GiantsAnd Sandler absolutely loved it.

Sanders said pre-game, “If you hear me yelling like Bobby Boucher, know that I am.”

He found his opportunity on a blocked run on a designed run for his quarterback Jalen Hurts, and screamed like Sanders Boucher, channeling his “tacklin’ fuel” as he cracked a block on Giants defensive end Aziz Ozulari.

Sanders got pumped after the hit.

“I got you boy!” He screamed onto the MetLife Stadium turf.

sandler aired the video on Twitter and praised for one of his famous roles.

“Love you buddy,” Sandler replied to Sanders’ video of the Eagles.

Boucher was a bone-crushing linebacker for famed South Central Louisiana State University, but if he was a running back, he could put up numbers like Sanders did on Sunday against the Giants.

On 17 carries, Sanders ran for a season-high 144 yards with two touchdowns, while catching one of his targets in the air for 11 yards.

That performance put Sanders over the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his four-year career with Philadelphia, and he will look for more in the coming weeks.

For the season, Sanders had 11 touchdowns and 1,068 yards on 204 carries. He is one of the many reasons the Eagles have the best 12–1 record in the NFL.
