DU signs MoU with Ladakh University for academic collaboration

Delhi University (DU) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ladakh University For a period of five years for “scientific and pedagogical cooperation”.

The MoU was signed between DU Vice Chancellor PC Joshi and Ladakh University Vice Chancellor C Phunsog, with the registrars of the two universities Vikas Gupta and Imtiaz Kachor present as witnesses.

“The University of Delhi is keen to share its knowledge with other relatively young universities in this country to play a catalytic role in their transformation and development. He said the MoU is “in line with Clause 10.6 of the National Education Policy 2020”, in which “a Higher Educational Institution (HEI) has a responsibility to support other HEIs for their development, community engagement and service, contribution in various fields ” practice, faculty development etc. “

Specific objectives of the collaboration include exchange of faculty/staff and students, and “to provide students of Ladakh with practical exposure to various advanced technologies available in different wings of DU to expand their knowledge horizons”.

The MoU will “encourage” and “facilitate” inter-university student and faculty visits to “enable learning through academic interactions and programs on both offline and online modes”.

“Organization of cultural exchange programs and sports activities in both the institutes”, “Sharing of library resources and providing access to laboratory facilities”, “Organizing joint PhD programmes”, “Organizing joint postgraduate courses under META University Programme” “Seminars, conferences and academic workshops on topics of mutual interest” are some of the objectives of the MoU.
