Drone lifeguard service rescues teenager from drowning in Spanish sea

In Valencia, Spain, the Drone Lifeguard Service saved a 14-year-old boy from drowning in the sea.

As the boy struggled amid the powerful tide, a lifeboat was dropped from the drone and a physical lifeguard team later reached the spot.

Footage captured by the drone shows the boy struggling to stay afloat and grabbing a lifeguard. He can be seen wearing a life jacket as a Baywatch boat arrives at the spot to rescue him.

“When we arrived we saw a baby in a very bad condition with almost no energy to swim, so I sent the Life Vest,” General Drone’s drone pilot Miguel ngel Pedrero told Reuters. ,

General Drones is the company that supplies drones.

“It was a complicated maneuver because of the heavy waves, but we finally managed to vest him and he could swim until the lifeguards got to him with jet skis,” Pederro said.

After being rescued, the boy was sent to a local hospital after being supplied with oxygen and sent home 24 hours later.

According to Sky News, general drones provide quick response support in such cases of possible drowning. With the help of drones, there is enough time to rescue people before the lifeguards reach the spot.
