Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh enthralled his audience when he dedicated his Vancouver concert to late singer-politician Sidhu Moosewala. In a recent video shared by Diljit, he paid an emotional tribute to Moosewala in music and words.

The clip, which is captioned ‘One love’, shows Diljit on a stage where the words ‘This show is dedicated to our brothers’ burn in the background. He starts with a song that says that people are trying to pull down the famers, be it in the online world or in real. In his subtle yet powerful style, he referred to the emotional moment Moosewala’s father took off his turban during his son’s funeral. Diljit says, “I have a lot of respect for you and your turban.” He then begins a speech where he asks his audience to stay united. The singer advises the Punjabi community to stick together as there are many who are trying to divide us. The clip ends when he suddenly starts singing, ‘Moosewala naam dela ute leke, bai khas jor lage ju mitoon waste (Moosewala’s name is written on the hearts, it will take a long time to erase it).

The crowd erupted in applause as soon as Diljit mentioned Moosewala. The post has also received immense love from the fans of Moosewala and Diljit.

Through this concert, Diljit also paid tribute to the late Kabaddi player Sandeep Singh Sandhu and Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu.

On June 11, Sidhu Musewala’s birth anniversary, Diljit shared a picture of the late singer and wrote, “Creativity..music keti ni janda. Happy Birthday -Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu.”
