Days after their separation was announced on social media, actor Dhanush and his estranged wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth have reportedly moved into the same hotel in Hyderabad. According to ETimes, the former couple is staying at the Star Hotel of Ramoji Rao Studios. They are there for their respective work commitments. According to reports, megastar Rajinikanth’s daughter will direct the song, while the Raanjhanaa actor is working on a film.
They announced their separation on social media on January 17 through a joint statement. “Eighteen years of togetherness as friends, couple, parents and each other’s well-wishers,” the statement read. The journey has been one of growth, understanding, adjustment and adaptation. Today we stand at a place where our paths diverge. Aishwarya and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Dhanush and Aishwarya tied the knot in 2004 and are parents to two sons, Yatra and Ling, who were born in 2006 and 2010 respectively.
Meanwhile, Dhanush’s father Kasturi Raja said in an interview to DailyThandhi newspaper that Dhanush and Aishwarya parted ways only because of disagreements. It is a family feud which usually takes place between a married couple. Obviously, this is not a divorce, said the director.
Dhanush and Aishwarya are currently not in Chennai. Both are in Hyderabad. I spoke to both of them over phone and gave them some advice,” said Kasturi Raja.
