Delhi Police chief holds first open house for employees

Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana on Friday organized his first ‘Open House’ for redressal of grievances of policemen.

Over 40 personnel ranging from constables to assistant commissioners of police (ACPs) appeared before the police chief for an open house in his chamber at the police headquarters.

A senior police officer said that Asthana issued the directions after hearing complaints, which were mostly related to transfers, promotions, medical issues, increment and quarterly allocation.

After taking over as the Delhi Police chief, Asthana, in his first interaction with his force, had announced that he would hold an open house every Friday to personally listen to them and resolve their problems.

“Any police personnel can present with unresolved complaints and share their problem with CP, Delhi. Delhi Police spokesperson Chinmoy Biswal said the open house would also act as a feedback mechanism on the issues faced by the service members.
