Delhi: High temperature to continue for next 2 days, rain forecast for this weekend

Hot weather is likely to continue in Delhi on Tuesday and Wednesday with no rain and the maximum temperature is likely to remain at 38 degrees Celsius in two days.

According to the forecast of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday, the sky will be partly cloudy. The minimum temperature is likely to be 28 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. The relative humidity was recorded at 72 per cent at 8.30 am on Tuesday, while the temperature at that time was 32 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature recorded on Monday was 37.4 degrees Celsius.

There is a possibility of rain from Thursday, suggesting possible respite from the sultry weather.

From August 19 to August 23, most parts of Delhi-NCR are likely to see cloudy sky, light to moderate rain and thundershowers.

Delhi has received less rain in August so far. Against the normal 131.4 mm, Delhi has received only 62.6 mm of rainfall, which is 52% less than the normal as per the IMD’s rainfall data.

However, for the season from June 1 to August 16, Delhi has received 431 mm of rain, which is about 11% more than the normal 389 mm for the same period.
