Danny Amenolda, 2-time Super Bowl champion, retires after 13 seasons

danny amendolaThe two-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots announced his retirement on Monday after a 13-year career as a wide receiver.

Amendola was an undrafted free agent when he worked with the St. Louis Rams in 2009. He had played with Ram four years back. join the patriots and helped the team win two championships alongside Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman.

He will bounce from 2018 to 2021. He played for the Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions and Houston Texans before deciding to leave this week.

He tweeted a video highlight package of his career, which read, “It wouldn’t have happened any other way.”

The 36-year-old, who was a standout at Texas Tech before turning professional, played 163 games. He caught 617 passes for 6,212 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Amendola told ESPN that he is pursuing other interests, including a possible move to broadcast.

He is the latest player to retire from the Patriotic dynasty.

Edelman retired before the start of the 2021 season and even with a tease with Brady possibly joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season, he remained on edge.

Brady initially said he was about to walk away from football earlier this year at age 44, when the Buccaneers lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the playoffs. About a month later, however, he revealed that he was unmatched by his competitive spirit and decided to give it another chance for the 45-year-old.

Gronkowski announces retirement From the NFL in June. So far, he has brushed back speculation that he will return to the Buccaneers if Brady calls. Whether in Tampa or elsewhere, the final stop on his NFL journey will be Canton, Ohio and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
