Iranian immigrant and mother of three Anita Edgarian expressed concerns about the Critical Race Theory curriculum to Chester School District board members on July 26.
At the meeting she was recorded telling the chairman of the board, Chris McCune, that she had grown up during the Iranian Revolution. Iran Was ‘ravaged by communism’. Sitting through a meeting where the board is divided into groups – for and against the CRT – is an ‘absolute nightmare’, she said.

As Edgerion screams into the microphone, McCune stands up, approaches the podium, and takes the mic from Edgerion, telling him to leave.
“I send my kids to study math, literature and history, and I want them to study all kinds of history,” she says.
Edgarion has a son in high school and twin girls in eighth grade.
Critical race theory is an educational concept that claims that racism is a social construct that is embedded in American legal systems and policies.
During the meeting, Edgarion says that his home is known as the ‘international home of pancakes’ because his children’s diverse group of friends are welcome there.
On the recording of the meeting, she praises retired superintendent Jim Scanlon, saying, ‘You did a good job for 12 years,’ but then adds, ‘You’re leaving a mess, you brought us division.’
That comment met with applause from some parents in the audience.
But before she could continue, McCune cut it off and said, ‘Anita, you’re on time.’
Edgerion objected, repeating ‘No, no,’ but McCune replied, ‘Yes, you are.’
As Edgerion shouts into the microphone, McCune stands up, approaches the podium, and takes the mic from Edgerion, telling him to leave.
Returning to the stage, McCune says, ‘It’s embarrassing. ‘We have had an honorable meeting with you. You bombed there, and now you want to monopolize the meeting. Not happening you’re screwed.’
When she continues to yell at the board members on stage, officers come to escort her out of the building.
‘Why did you say you can’t teach history without a CRT?’ She is heard shouting before an officer removes her from the auditorium.

This is not the first time that a school board has flared up On CRT, as the syllabus has become a hot topic.
This sparked a fierce nationwide debate over the past year in the wake of Black Lives Matter protests across the country. Supporters say it is important to end racism in America and opponents claim that it actually promotes racism by classifying people.
In response to Edgerion being hacked and taken out, the Chester County Republican Committee called for McCune’s resignation.
In Statement, the committee called his actions ‘reprehensible’ and acknowledged that Edgarion spoke about the 2 minutes allotted to him, in the same way that other speakers did that evening.
The committee condemned McCune for going up to the mother of three and yelling at her, saying that McCune was ‘unable to control his anger’ and acted like a bully.
‘Since when do policemen lock up parents for exercising their First Amendment right to freedom of speech?’ The committee asked in its letter. ‘Shouldn’t they be allowed to return to their seats instead of being kicked out of the building?’

On Wednesday, Edgarion appeared fox and friends And told host Kayleigh McEnany that she thinks the school board president didn’t like that she dared to question the board.
“I don’t think he likes the fact that I was saying, ‘Why the split?'” he said.
Edgarion said she just wanted to clarify what her children would be taught and answered.
‘I have friends on both sides of this aisle. Friends and, you know, sometimes close friends,’ she said. ‘And you know, so I don’t want my kids to grow up to feel like they can’t talk to this person or that person. And I just wanted to know and, you know, the best thing is to come out and ask open questions.’
