A car rammed into a popular restaurant in Keremios on Friday night.
Bobo’s Pizza and Donor’s Sub Sandwich Shop posted on Facebook that a vehicle rammed into their outdoor picnic table and wall.
“The inside was not damaged. Exterior and windows only. We will be glued to plywood windows for some time,” wrote the owner of the Boboys on Facebook.
“but [Saturday] We’re going to clean up to make sure there’s no debris left inside and we’re back to work with our beautiful plywood decorations!”
The restaurant was closed at the time of the accident while they were installing the air conditioner. There were no casualties in the accident.
The owner of the Boboys believes the driver may have fallen asleep behind the wheel.
“He feels really terrible about it. He was driving with his sister, she was in shock, I hope they are fine too,” wrote the owner of the Boboys on Facebook.
The restaurant is a popular spot in the Village, located along 7th Avenue. The Boboys said that after the accident, the community came together to help them.
“We had a bunch of people fixing and putting it back together and cleaning it up! I am so grateful! Every time I think about it I burst into tears,” wrote the Boboys owner on Facebook.
The Keremeos RCMP attended the scene and an investigation determined that criminality was not involved.
