Cops respond to 4-year-old’s adorable emergency call

Force shared a clip of the exchange, which was “too cute not to share”. FacebookWhere the call is initiated in the usual manner, the dispatcher asks what was the nature of the emergency.

“Police lady… can I tell you something?” a boy asks.

“I have some toys for you,” he says to the operator.

“You have some toys for me?” He asked. “Come and see them!” he adds.

Then a scuffle ensues, and an adult comes to the phone, informing the operator that there is no emergency.

After the call, a police dispatch was sent asking for any officers near the address, saying: “There’s a four-year-old out there who wants to show his toys to the police.”

An officer jumps up to answer, responding: “Yes, I am one, I will participate.”

Constable Kurt, who attended the call, confirmed that the boy had “fantastic toys.”

The police also treated the child with a police car and showed him blue flashing lights.

“Constable Kurt of the Southern District Police responded by reaching the child’s home and showing him a series of toys,” the force posted on Facebook. “He had a good educational conversation with the child and his or her parents about using the 111 only for emergencies,” he said.

“While we don’t encourage kids to call 111 to show them their toys, it was too cute not to share,” Force said.
