Connor Bedard continues hot streak with WHL’s Pats after breaking record at World Juniors Globalnews.ca

The Bedard Express is back in Regina. it was mostly standing room only conor bedardFirst home game since mid-November.

The Sunday game saw an attendance of over 4,700 fans compared to the season average of 3,400.

In true Bedard fashion, he exceeded already high expectations. Four goals, two of them shorthanded, and two assists were good for six points and a pats Victory over Calgary.

“It’s been a while since I’ve played here and what’s in store for us tonight. It was energizing and exciting for us and we’re looking forward to continuing that,” Bedard said.

Despite all the accolades, Bedard remained humble.

“I don’t think I look at it like ‘they’re coming to see me,’ they’re coming to see the Pats. It’s not about any one person, it’s about our group.”

Pats head coach John Paddock said that Bedard has “always been very confident in his abilities but never overrated about his abilities.”

After the game, fans got a chance to skate with Pats players on the ice. However, he turned up waiting in the free skate line, as fans didn’t want to miss the opportunity to get autographs and photos with Regina’s latest celebrity.

“It was awesome, in front of that crowd and with the group that we had, we were so close and it was so much fun,” Bedard said.

Paddock said that Bedard is going to be away from the rink for the next few days so that he can get some rest and he deserves it.

“I’m obviously trying to take it one day at a time. And it feels like you’re still in your childhood here playing hockey. And that’s how I look at it,” Bedard said.
