Congress will protest across the country on Friday on the issue of inflation, GST and misuse of investigating agency. In the national capital Delhi, all the big leaders including former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will take to the streets. The party has prepared a strategy for the performance at two levels. A large number of security forces personnel were deployed outside the Congress headquarters late in the night.

Before the protest, Rahul Gandhi will hold a press conference at the Congress headquarters at 24 Akbar Road. Senior leaders have also been called for the press conference. Here, late on Thursday night, Congress workers sat on a dharna outside the headquarters.

  • In view of the protest, Section 144 has been imposed in Jantar Mantar area. Delhi Police said that this decision has been taken in view of law and order.
  • Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that the government wants to stop us from protesting against inflation, so it is continuously harassing the Congress leaders.

President’s march of MPs, leaders will surround PM House
According to sources, the Congress has prepared a strategy for the performance at two levels. All party MPs will march to Rashtrapati Bhavan via Vijay Chowk. At the same time, party leaders and workers will go from the Congress headquarters to the PM House. Here they will gherao the PM House.

In view of the security arrangements, barricading has been done outside the Congress headquarters.  Along with this, Delhi Police personnel have been deployed.

Congress will march to Raj Bhavan in the states
Congress has also made a strategy in the states regarding the performance. Party leaders will march till the Raj Bhavan and then submit a memorandum to the Governor. A special team has been formed at the Congress headquarters to monitor the performance. The party has also asked the block-district level workers to protest at the headquarters and give arrest.

Rahul said – are not afraid of Modi and BJP
Replying to the question of journalists in the House on Thursday, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that the Congress will take up the issues of the people and our people are not going to be afraid of anyone. He said- I will not be afraid of Modi at all.
