Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Sunday said the Congress party is his past and he is now a normal BJP worker when he was asked to comment on the change of leadership in the oldest party after its defeat in the assembly polls.

Scindia said, “Don’t want to comment on my past, my present is associated with BJP.” The minister was in Indore on Sunday to attend party meetings and other events.

Scindia also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda for the party’s victory in the recent assembly elections. “The BJP is inspired by the unity of humanism and Antyodaya, which is the party’s commitment and ideology,” he said.

The minister said that he expects the party to secure a massive majority in the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha in the year 2023. He claimed that the people have offered a double engine government in the country where the PM has an able leadership. in the centre. And the party has led in the states.

The Rajya Sabha MP also appreciated CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan for working round the clock and leaving no stone unturned for the growth and development of the state.

As part of party engagements, he met the party executive committee members and took stock of the party’s campaigns such as Sahyog Abhiyan, Booth Expansion Drive and others. He advised the party functionaries to work with commitment.

In other meetings in the city, Scindia met his old rival turned aide Kailash Vijayvargiya during an award ceremony in the city. Both the leaders sat together and had a long discussion. Scindia had earlier defeated Vijayvargiya twice for the post of president of the MP Cricket Association, when he was with the Congress party.

There is a widely anticipated change in the leadership of the Congress party in Madhya Pradesh, which goes to polls in 2023.
