Charles Barkley fires shot at NBA media over head coaching rumors: ‘Do your damn job’

Charles Barkley delivered a clear message to NBA media Wednesday night amid rumors Los Angeles Lakers And the Phoenix Suns are set to make a coaching change in the offseason.

Barkley said on TNT after the slate of playoff games concluded that Darwin Hamm and Frank Vogel did not deserve to be fired from their respective teams. He said that it was not his fault that the teams performed poorly and instead he put the responsibility on the players and the officials who put them together.

The Basketball Hall of Famer told the NBA media to start telling the truth.

“Part of our job, we all watch sports, we all watch talk shows, all these people on television, they’re cowards because they want the players to like them,” Barkley said. “They don’t want to do their job, which is to tell the truth.

“And, I just want to say this about coaching, anyone who thinks the Lakers are bad because of Darwin Hamm, or the Suns are bad because of Frank Vogel, you don’t know what you’re talking about. Frank Vogel is a very bad coach trying to start his career.

“But all you scoundrels, idiots and jackass on other networks – who want to be the media and who want all the players to like you, do your job. The Lakers suck and the Suns suck because of the players. It has nothing to do with the coaches -Do not give.”

It is unclear whether the Lakers and will make sun Coaching move after disappointing season.

Embattled in rumors regarding the future of Los Angeles Lebron James, Multiple reports indicated he might be headed to free agency in the offseason, but he dismissed this in a post on social media.

The Athletic reported that Hamm could be fired “possibly by the end of the week.”
