Caught on camera: NYPD officers rescue dog abandoned in hot car on Upper East Side

New York , NYPD Officers arrived to rescue a dog left in a hot car on Friday.

The video shows police breaking windows to rescue the puppy.

19th Block Officer upper east bank New Yorkers noticed that the dog remained trapped for more than two hours when the temperature was in the 80s.

The dog was taken to the vet and is now said to be fine.

The NYPD says a criminal investigation is underway.
