Carson Daly has revealed that he and his wife, Siri, are still sleeping in separate beds – and he insists it’s the ‘best thing’ that has happened to them.
The Today host, 48, gave a Update On his sleeping arrangements on Friday’s show, explaining that he’ll crash on the couch or in the guest room when he’s not with his wife, 41.
He reminded his co-stars, ‘I was served my sleep-divorce papers a few years back. ‘It’s the best thing that ever happened to us. Of course, we both slept separately.

The host explained that he would crash on the couch or in the guest room when he was not sharing the bed with his wife.
TODAY Food contributors Carson and Siri started sleeping in separate beds while she was pregnant with their fourth child, Goldie, who was born in March 2020.
Two years later, they have made some adjustments and are now alternating between sleeping together and separately.
He said, ‘We’ve reconciled a bit, so we’ve just drifted off sleep.’ ‘So some nights I’m in bed. Some nights I’m on the couch or in the guest room.’

Carson and Siri slept in separate beds after Goldie was born because he was getting up for work at 3 a.m. while they were temporarily living in California.
“You have your own comforters or duvets,” he explained. ‘Studies have actually found that sleeping with a single blanket can cause up to 30 percent more disrupted sleep.’
‘That’s very smart,’ said Hoda Kotb.
Craig Melvin agreed, ‘I think so too,’ but his co-star Tom Lamas insisted that he was ‘completely against’ the concept.
He said, ‘It is against everything about marriage and having a partner. ‘It’s all about compromise and sharing. Also, how do you sleep in bed?’

Carson has been candid about his and his wife’s struggles with sleep, which came to a head during her previous pregnancies.
“We’re both humans in pretty good shape, and it really didn’t work out when she was in her third trimester, and I also have sleep apnea, which is pretty sexy for the ladies out there, I’m sure,” he said. Told People in 2020.
‘She couldn’t be comfortable, so we were like an ad you’ll see, kicking each other and not sleeping.’

‘We woke up and we shook hands like, “I love you, but it’s time to go to bed divorce. It’s going to be the best thing for all of us,” he explained.
Carson and Siri have four children together: Jackson, 13, Etta, 9, London, 7 and Goldie, 2.
After the birth of their youngest daughter, they slept separately as they were temporarily living in California while filming The Voice.
He had to get up at about 3 a.m. for the Today show, and didn’t want to risk waking his wife and baby girl by sleeping in the same room with them.
At the time he said, ‘I don’t know if we’ll ever be able to sleep together again.
