Speaking about the $130,000 donation he received from 4,000 people in recent days, Ford got emotional.

‘The generosity of these people is simply overwhelming. I have been crying for three days. I can’t believe it. I really can’t,’ he said.

He said he was unable to explain how he did not leave a single change in his 27 years of work.

‘I don’t know myself. I don’t know how I did it! Maybe I’m a robot? I never thought of taking a day off. Whatever I can, I just try to work hard,’ Ford said.

Ford’s daughter said that as her family grew, she remained at her job and ‘continued to work here because of the wonderful health insurance.’

‘My dad continues to work here, because although he looks young, he is approaching retirement age and leaving will cost him his retirement.

‘We are not asking for money or expecting any money in any way, but if anyone wants to bless, he would love to visit his grandchildren.’

A flood of support stunned the family, with fundraising surpassing $131,000 since Tuesday.

‘I’m here for dinner without crying! You are such remarkable people,’ Serina wrote in an update on Friday. ‘I seriously can’t believe it. You are all changing his life! Thank you all! A million times more, thank you!!!!’
