Much has been said about the beauty of celebrities (long story short, there are too many of them and 99.9% of them have no valid reason to exist). Beauty lines from beauty insiders/experts? Well, that’s another kettle of fish. I mean, some of them even fall into the above category, but for the most part, they’re built behind a lot of the skin in the game. Such as Violet FR, which was founded by Violet Seurat, the much-acclaimed French makeup artist who has also served as a creative director and consultant for several big-name beauty brands. Her concept of range is built around a French-girl aesthetic, except for once, it feels completely inclusive—so regardless of age or cultural heritage, you don’t feel marginalized. I’m currently obsessed with Baum-Baum Milk. This three-in-one creamy spray is an all-in-one toner, serum and moisturizer. It’s great for those who want intense moisture, but can’t tolerate heavy textures. This is also in keeping with the growing popularity of skin minimalism – that is, using fewer products in your skincare regime, which is better for the environment and your skin. Baum-Baum Milk, which balances skin, injects intense hydration and gives you an impressive glow, is an absolute hit in my book. I guess I need something else on my skin.
