Although he did not appear in front of the camera, Saget’s recognizable voice echoed that of another ABC sitcom, How I Met Your Mother, in which he played an earlier version of Ted Mosby (played on-screen by Josh Radner).

The actor and comedian mocked his image with a recurring role on HBO’s Entourage, and he also led the single-season WB sitcom Rising Dad, which starred Sopranos fixture Jerry Adler alongside rising stars Kat Dennings and Brie Larson.

Saget wasn’t afraid to be a little silly, and his most recent appearance was on The Masked Singer as a disguised figure.
