Police want to speak to a second possible witness as part of the ongoing search for missing dog walker Nicola Bulley.

A potential second witness who was seen on CCTV walking her dog at the time of Miss Bulley’s disappearance said she did not know anything of importance to help the case.

Christine Bowman, 67, who was walking her dog Snowflake along the River Wyre last Friday when the missing mother went missing, said she “didn’t see” Ms Bulley.

ICYMI: Search for missing dog walker makes new CCTV breakthrough as police search for woman in red

A CCTV image has been released of a woman in red who may have been a witness to the mysterious disappearance of dog walker Nicola Bulley.

He was wearing a red and white coat, light trousers and a bobble hat, and was being sought as a possible witness and not a suspect.

The woman was seen on CCTV at around 8.48 am at the allotment lane where Ms Bulle was last seen. At the time Ms Bulley is understood to have gone to work near a bench shortly before she disappeared.

Police urge residents to avoid ‘treacherous’ riverbank

Police have urged residents to avoid the area where Nicola Bulli went missing, warning that heavy rain has made stretches of the riverside “treacherous”.

Supt Sally Riley said: “We know that Nicola’s disappearance has caused concern for the wider local community, as well as clearly a terrible time for her family.

“This remains a missing persons investigation and at this time there is nothing to suggest any third party involvement in Nicola’s disappearance.

“I appreciate that there are unanswered questions about what happened to Nicola, but I would urge people not to speculate or spread false rumours. We will share updates when we can, but we must provide factual Should be
