Sophie, 57, joined the York Club in Windsor Great Park with Alan Titchmarsh, Honorary President of the Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society (RWRHS), as the organization also celebrated its 130th anniversary.

The mother-in-law opted to wear a navy midi gown for the occasion, which featured a bright and colorful floral print, which she paired with yellow and pink heels.

She wore her blonde hair neatly yet casually pinned back, and opted for subtle accessories with tiny pearl earrings, a gold pendant, and two delicate bracelets.

The Countess also gave prizes to the winners of the children’s competition for creating a ‘miniature garden fit for a queen’ flower arrangement, with the best entry for the queen to sit at the breakfast table.

People who attended the event donated a mix of plastic, paper and flower crowns to mark the special anniversary year show.

The public, accompanied by the Countess, had the opportunity to tour the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Garden, designed by Landform Consultants’ award-winning designer Alan Williams.

Sophie later met the trustees of the society and was given her position.

The RWRHS charity was founded in 1892 by Queen Victoria, and has received the support of six monarchs throughout its history.

The Countess, accompanied by her husband the Earl of Wessex, visited Gibraltar earlier this week to watch a special Queen’s Birthday Parade near the 19th-century British-built barracks in Casemates Square.

Meanwhile Sophie also donned a ‘Rebelious Hope’ T-shirt – which raises money for Dame Deborah’s Bowelbabe Fund – as she joined Edward on a trip to the beach.

Dame Deborah, who has been receiving life-long care for bowel cancer at her parents’ home in Surrey, launched the T-shirt last week in collaboration with e-tailer In The Style.

The Spanish government opposed Wessex’s visit to Gibraltar.

Madrid still claims the area as part of Spain and its future border arrangement is currently a matter of negotiation between the UK and the European Union.

Spanish diplomatic sources said the country’s foreign ministry “expressed displeasure” over the visit.

Spain believes Gibraltar’s post-Brexit relationship with The Rock is ‘not fair’ against the backdrop of ongoing talks.

Meanwhile, Earl and Sophie were in Windsor for celebrations on the first Jubilee weekend itself.

Earl and Countess of Wessex joined the thousands QueenNeighbors for a huge ‘Long Lunch’ on the Long Walk outside the gates of Windsor Castle on the last day of Platinum Jubilee Celebration.

And earlier this month, Sophie and her husband Prince Edward were in Northern Ireland as part of a series of coordinated visits to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.
