Meerut, Sep 21 (IANS)| The party’s Uttar Pradesh MLA from Sardhana assembly seat in Meerut, Sangeet Som, on Tuesday said that the BJP will rebuild all the temples that were demolished to build a mosque. Som made this statement describing former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav as a seasonal Hindu.
Taking a jibe at the former Samajwadi Party government, he said that those who used to load saints during their rule are now going to Haridwar to apologize to them and have announced the construction of Lord Vishwakarma temple. Som was addressing a press conference convened to give details of the achievements of the Yogi Adityanath government in the last four-and-a-half years.
Making fun of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, he said, “Many people become seasonal Hindus before the upcoming UP assembly elections. He said that those who ordered to shoot at the devotees are now talking of building a temple. He said that those who used cane to the saints are now apologizing to them with folded hands.
He said that wherever mosques would be demolished, temples would be built there. Hindustan belongs to Hindus. Everyone here is Hindu. He claimed that Muslims are also Hindus.
