Bimbisaar Review: Kalyan Ram-starrer is an intriguing time travel and visual treat – India Times English News

Kalyan Ram-starrer Bimbisaar has hit the theaters and the first few reviews from Twitter users point towards an interesting historical drama with some great elements of time travel. Directed by Mallidi Vashisht, the film also stars Katherine Tresa, Samyukta Menon, Warina Hussain, Venela Kishore and others. Let’s talk about this film in depth.

What is this about?

Bimbisara (Nandamuri Kalyan Rama) is the emperor of the Trigartala kingdom. The cruel ruler goes to any extent to get what he wants. He has a twin brother Devadatta (Kalyan Ram), who is the exact opposite of Bimbisara. After a scuffle between the brothers, Bimbisara comes across Mayadarpini (a magical mirror), and as he touches it without releasing his powers, Bimbisara travels in time to the present time, 2022. The rest of the story is about how he adjusts to the present world and finds his redemption.

Filmmaker Mallidi Vashisht wrote his directorial debut, taking inspiration from comic books like Chandamama and Balmitra. Not only did he write the story, but Vashisht also succeeded in executing the script properly. Notably, he managed to keep the audience hooked from the beginning to the end of the film. The characterization of Kalyan Ram, in particular, is remarkable.

Music and other departments?

MM Keeravani, who gave the background score for the film, brought life to the film with his re-recording. Although the songs could have been better. After Vashistha, a special mention for cinematography can go to Chhota K Naidu, who was sufficient.

It would have been better if more attention was paid to the graphics work. Editing by Tammi Raju is fine.

performances by actors

There are many actors playing interesting roles in Bimbisaar. Talking about Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, he has shown a new kind of fantasy role, which has never happened before in his acting career. His performance in the scenes where he realizes the mistakes he made in the past during his time as a king in modern times is impressive.

On the other hand, both the female protagonists- Katherine Tresa and Samyuktha Menon- didn’t leave any impression which needs to be talked about.
