The Action Task Force (ATS) has got great success in Gujarat. The team raided a factory near Vadodara and recovered drugs worth Rs 500 crore. So far 5 people have been arrested in this case. At the same time, the search is on for the other 4 people absconding from the spot.
Medicines were being made under the guise of chemicals
An ATS official said that MD drugs were reported to be prepared in a chemical factory in Sindhrot village near Vadodara city. After this, our team was engaged in its investigation for the last two days. After the completion of the investigation, the factory was raided late on Tuesday night and about 100 kg of narcotics was recovered from here. During the raid, ATS has arrested five people from the spot. While 4 accused escaped taking advantage of the darkness.
ATS has sealed the factory. The search operation is going on in the surrounding areas as well.
The narcotics were hidden in the buffalo stables
Gujarat ATS told that there is a chemical factory here. The medicine was being prepared in a shed next to the factory. There is also a stable of buffaloes in this shed, under the guise of which drugs were kept hidden. Without giving further details, the ATS said that the operation to bust the entire network is still on. Investigation is also going on as to who all the people of the chemical factory are involved in this drug business.
Even before this a factory was caught from Vadodara
Let me tell you, in the month of August this year also, the ATS seized 200 kg of mephedrone drugs worth about Rs 1,000 crore from a godown in Savli village near Vadodara city. Here too, drugs were being made under the guise of a chemical factory.
Forensic team has also been called to the factory to examine the recovered drugs.
