Bengaluru: Traffic diversion on Goods Shed Road due to white topping work

The movement of traffic on Goods Shed Road has been restricted due to the white topping work started by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Sunday.

BBMP has taken up the project to eliminate the whitewashing of 1.5 kilometer stretch on Goods Shed Road.

Until the road is reopened for vehicular movement, motorists going to Majestic will have to travel two kilometers instead of traveling through the Goods Shed Road.

The traffic police has made arrangements for motorists to reach Majestic from Mysore Road by alternate routes. According to the civic body, the work will be completed within three months, and the road will be closed till the completion of the project.

According to traffic police officials, the white topping work will affect vehicular movement on this road, Old Mysore Road and the market flyover from Dr BR Ambedkar Ramp to TCM Royan Road Junction.

The traffic police have been instructed to put up necessary signage to guide the drivers.
