After falling behind at the start, Houston of Kansas City The lead completed the Astros’ biggest comeback win of the season before a powerful swing by Yordan Alvarez.
Alvarez took two outs in the ninth inning, and Houston Beat The Kansas City Royals won 7-6 for their seventh straight win on Monday.

Alvarez said through a translator, “No one in the dugout gives up the whole game … even if that’s how we’re losing.”
Led by Kyle Tucker and Alvarez, AL West-leading Houston erased a five-run deficit in their last 18 games on the way to their 15th win. Tucker leapt into the eighth of the Astros’ three-run single with a two-run single, and Alvarez hit a drive to the left center against Scott Barlow (2-2) for his 24th homer.
“I just tried to focus, saw a pitch in the zone, but that pitch came back to the middle of the plate and I was able to hit it,” Alvarez said.
Ryan Stanek (1-0) scored a ninth for the win.
The Astros also won their last at-bat on Sunday, using Jeremy Pea’s tiebreaking two-run homer in the ninth to seal a 4-2 win. Los Angeles Angels,
