The FIR said that the farmers had gathered at the sports ground of Maharaja Agrasen Inter College on Sunday and wanted to peacefully show black flags to Mishra and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, who were visiting Banbirpur.

“Around 3 pm, Ashish Mishra reached the protest site in Banbirpur with 15-20 armed men in three speeding four wheelers. Monu Mishra fired shots while sitting to the left of his Mahindra Thar, which knocked the crowd down and moved on,” said the FIR seen by PTI.

“Sukhwinder son of farmer Gurwinder Singh, resident of Matronia of Nanpara, died in the firing. The report further said, “Ashish’s speeding vehicle overturned on the side of the road, injuring several others. Ashish Mishra escaped from the car, opened fire and hid in the sugarcane field.

While Ashish Mishra and 15-20 unidentified people were mentioned as accused and charged with murder, criminal conspiracy, speeding, rioting, his father was not named in the FIR.

The minister has denied the allegations of his son’s involvement in the incident that took place near his native village Banbirpur in Tikonia area of ​​the district.

Four farmers were killed after they were allegedly crushed by an SUV during a protest, in which Ashish Mishra was riding in the vehicle leading his convoy, on Sunday. four other people, including BJP The workers were later thrashed to death by the mob. No arrest has been made so far in the case.

The deceased farmers have been identified as Gurvinder Singh (22), Daljit Singh (35), Nakshatra Singh and Lovepreet Singh (both age not mentioned), some other farmers were injured.

The FIR said, “Farmers had gathered to register their protest after a video went viral in which the Union minister made remarks during a public meeting and threatened to drive out farmers from the state before the incident (October 3). was given.”

The complainant demanded the arrest of the minister and his son.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, a short video surfaced on social media, purportedly showing a Mahindra Thar driving a plow in a crowd.

The video, which starts and ends abruptly and is said to be from the protest site, has been shared by several opposition politicians, who have blamed Mishra and his son for the violence.

However, a section of internet users claimed that the windshield of an SUV, which is seen running over people, was broken before hitting the crowd. Other users claimed to have seen the minister’s son exiting from the left side of the vehicle after veering off the road.

The FIR is section 147, 148, 149 (all three relating to riots), 279 (rash driving), 338 (causing grievous hurt to any person by such haste or carelessness as to endanger human life) of the Indian Penal Code.
