Annual Coat Giveaway distributes 3,000 winter coats to Omaha families

“It’s always good to interact with the community,” Hopkins said. “I started out doing something on the weekends as a kid.”

As she got older, she made it a mission to keep these families warm and fed, and to help the little ones.

Hopkins said, “I think over 80% come for their kids and everyone carries that, especially with COVID right now.” “You’re a little tight on budget.”

The organization is giving children 1,000 new winter coats to keep them warm this season.
