Algeria to replace Russia as Italy’s top gas supplier

Rome: Algeria will replace Russia as Italy’s main supplier of gas this year after Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune signed agreements in Algiers on Monday.

“Algeria is a very important partner for Italy in the fight against organized crime in the pursuit of peace and stability in the Mediterranean, as well as in energy and industrial production,” Draghi said.
