Jason Grant and Nikki Batista get the surprise of their lives when their son, Keith, returns six years after being kidnapped. HollywoodLife spoke exclusively with Warning co producer John Eisendrath About that jaw-dropping twist. Jason and Nikki both work for the Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit, and John reveals how the questions surrounding Keith will affect them.
“I think it’s one of the things that I love is that experts in this field, like experts in many fields, can be completely blind when their emotions are getting in the way,” John said. “There are many stories in this particular area, where parents are so desperate for the person who is back as their child that they overlook things, and rationalize any and all sides Which may not be the case.”

“Now that their child believes they have been brought back, they are inevitably going to wonder sooner or later whether their family was made whole again by the return of their child, What’s the outcome for their relationship? It’s such a turn of events that I think viewers can all root for,” John told HollywoodLife, “I hope they’re going to root for Nikki and Jason because they didn’t get divorced because one of them cheated on the other. They didn’t get divorced because they treated each other badly. Divorced for the same sympathetic reason, and now I think people can root for them.
He continued, “But wait, Mike is such a sweet guy. I hope some viewers are not against Jason but in favor of Mike. I feel like it’s very rare that you have a love triangle where you To root for everyone.
Over the course of the season, as viewers question whether or not Keith is really Keith, questions will also arise about whether or not Nikki and Jason will get back together. “I think we will definitely be telling stories that put Nikki and Jason in very emotional situations that either explicitly or implicitly think back to the days when they were together and a happy There were couples,” he said.
From the get-go, Nikki and Jason’s daughter, Sydney, is hesitant about Keith. John joked about how the former couple would deal with their daughter’s doubts about her brother.
