“I think it’s one of the things that I love is that experts in this field, like experts in many fields, can be completely blind when their emotions are getting in the way,” John said. “There are many stories in this particular area, where parents are so desperate for the person who is back as their child that they overlook things, and rationalize any and all sides Which may not be the case.”

blacklist The EP continued, “In this case, we have a character of their daughter Sydney who is clear from the beginning that this is not her brother. The parents are dealing with this fact and trying to understand are doing why in the world their second child is so adamant, and we the audience will be taken through all kinds of storylines and permutations that will take us deeper down the rabbit hole for a while. Whether he is or not . I think there’s a lot of different twists and turns in this kind of story when you think you know the answer, but then the answer isn’t what you think it’s going to be. And then you’re sure that you know the answer and then, oh, wait, wait. I didn’t think so. I think it’s going to be an incredibly fun ride and I hope the audience enjoys it as they try to guess whether he is their son or not.

The final moments of the episode featured Keith tearing out pages from his diary relating to the disappearance. John explained that viewers “deserve real answers every step of the way, so we’ll tell stories that are very solid. We’ll do all the hypothetical testing, questioning and investigation, and I’m sure we have the evidence to back that up.” There are very surprising answers to all the various attempts to make an attempt whether or not he is in fact his son.”

Nikki and Jason’s marriage breaks down after Keith goes missing. In the series premiere, Nikki becomes engaged to one of her co-workers, Mike. The co-producer revealed how Nikki and Jason’s relationship will change now that Keith is (supposedly) back.

“Now that their child believes they have been brought back, they are inevitably going to wonder sooner or later whether their family was made whole again by the return of their child, What’s the outcome for their relationship? It’s such a turn of events that I think viewers can all root for,” John told HollywoodLife, “I hope they’re going to root for Nikki and Jason because they didn’t get divorced because one of them cheated on the other. They didn’t get divorced because they treated each other badly. Divorced for the same sympathetic reason, and now I think people can root for them.

He continued, “But wait, Mike is such a sweet guy. I hope some viewers are not against Jason but in favor of Mike. I feel like it’s very rare that you have a love triangle where you To root for everyone.

Over the course of the season, as viewers question whether or not Keith is really Keith, questions will also arise about whether or not Nikki and Jason will get back together. “I think we will definitely be telling stories that put Nikki and Jason in very emotional situations that either explicitly or implicitly think back to the days when they were together and a happy There were couples,” he said.

From the get-go, Nikki and Jason’s daughter, Sydney, is hesitant about Keith. John joked about how the former couple would deal with their daughter’s doubts about her brother.

“They will disagree on how and when to deal with Sydney’s insistence that Keith is not her brother. The closer the story gets them, the harder it is for them. It’s broad and emotional and they won’t always agree There’s going to be a certain balance between how this story brings them together and how it tests them. Alert: Missing Persons Unit Will air on Fox on Sunday.
