Alec Baldwin’s niece Hailey Bieber is ‘absolutely heartbroken’ over cinematographer Halyana Hutchins’ accidental death on the set of Rust film

- On Friday morning, Baldwin tweeted that he was “fully cooperating” with the police investigation and was “shocked”.
One day when his uncle Alec Baldwin accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halina Hutchins on the set of his western film, Rust, Hailey Bieber took to Instagram to comment on the tragedy.
In a post shared with her 38.8 million followers, the 24-year-old supermodel said she was “absolutely heartbroken” at Hutchins’ untimely death.
Sending all my love to the family of Helena Hutchins. This is a truly unimaginable and devastating tragedy,’ she began the note.

Bieber joins a growing list of celebrities who have mourned in the midst of the unimaginable accident.
On Thursday night, her father Stephen Baldwin prayed through Instagram.
Stephen, 55, a devout Christian, wrote: ‘Friends for your prayers tonight, nothing more can be said than to pray for all those involved in this tragic accident.
In his title he quoted Psalm 91 which reads in part: ‘I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my stronghold: my God; I will trust him.

Alec’s eldest daughter and Bieber’s cousin, Ireland Baldwin, 25, wrote on her Insta Stories on Friday: ‘My love and support goes out to the family and friends of Hulnya Hutchins [sic]. Sending remedial thoughts to Joel Souza. And I wish I could hug my dad more tightly today.’

Hutchins died shortly after being shot by Baldwin at around 1:50 p.m. at Bonanza Creek Ranch near the city of Santa Fe in New Mexico.
The film’s director Joel Souza was also hurt and spent several hours in the hospital, but was released later that evening.

A spokesperson for the film’s production company has insisted that only blank spaces were used, but this has yet to be confirmed by the sheriff’s department. It is not clear whether this was the first and only bullet fired by Baldwin or whether the others were fired safely.
The tragedy is reminiscent of the 1993 accident on the set of The Crow, when Bruce Lee’s son Brandon was shot and killed by a fellow actor.
In that accident the film crew thought the gun was loaded with fake bullets and blanks, but an autopsy revealed a .44 caliber bullet lodged in Lee’s spine. Investigators in that shooting also examined the theory that one dummy cartridge had become stuck in the barrel before the other was fired – a known hazard in shooting that could cause serious injury or death in firing a second round.
Recovering: Souza, the film’s director, also suffered an injury and spent several hours in the hospital, but was released later that evening.
