In one of the promos, Akshay and Kapil are discussing Holi and Akshay says, “Main Holi khelta hun tameez se.” He adds, “Kuch log toh rang lagane ke liye aise peeche aa jate hain, jaise badla le rahein ho (Some people chase you with color as if they are taking revenge for something).”
When Jacqueline says that she has never played Holi, Akshay says that they can have a Holi party at their house. Kapil interrupted, “Holi bhi aapko ghar par, bhi film bhi aap hi karo, sab aap hi kar lo (You make films, you host Holi parties, you do everything).” Akshay asks, “You tell? Will you come here? Kaun wala ghar pe aaye (Should we come to your house? Which of your houses)?” This comment clearly embarrasses Kapil, and everyone else is in splits.
Earlier, a video featuring Akshay from Kapil’s show was shared on social media in which the Khiladi actor called Kapil a ‘bewafa’. Both were seen cheering on Bachchan Pandey’s song Saare Bolo Bewafa.
There were rumors of a rift between Kapil and Akshay but the comedian took to social media to clear the air. He wrote, “Dear friends, I was reading all the news about myself and Akshay paaji in the media, I have just spoken to paaji and it all sorted out. It was just a miscommunication. All is well and Very soon we are meeting to shoot for an episode of Bachchan Pandey. He is my elder brother and can never be angry with me.”
Bachchan Pandey is set to release in theaters on March 18.
